Connecting and collaborating with other organizations on issues of common concern increases the impact of the AHA&#8217;s advocacy efforts and enhances the resources we provide to our members. This page offers a selection of our partners.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>American Council of Learned Societies<\/h3>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.acls.org\/\">American Council of Learned Societies<\/a> is a private nonprofit federation of 66 national scholarly organizations. The mission of the ACLS, as set forth in its Constitution, is &#8220;the advancement of humanistic studies in all fields of learning in the humanities and the social sciences and the maintenance and strengthening of relations among the national societies devoted to such studies.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>CivxNow<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/civxnow.org\/who-we-are\/coalition\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CivxNow<\/a>, a project of <a href=\"https:\/\/vision.icivics.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">iCivics<\/a>, has formed the nation\u2019s largest cross-partisan Coalition to fuel our constitutional democracy through K-12 civic education.<\/p>\n<h3>Coalition for International Education<\/h3>\n<p>The Coalition for International Education is a group of more than 30 national higher education organizations, which share an interest in programs and initiatives that promote US global competence, particularly those supported by the US Department of Education.<\/p>\n<h3>Comit\u00e9 International des Sciences Historiques\u00a0(CISH)<\/h3>\n<p>The International Committee of Historical Sciences (ICHS) or le Comit\u00e9 international des sciences historiques (CISH) was founded in Geneva on May 15, 1926. During the fifth International Congress of Historical Sciences in Brussels 1923, an idea emerged for a permanent organization that would unite and organize intellectuals in the historical sciences from around the world in order to promote contact and personal exchange.<\/p>\n<h3>Consortium of Social Science Associations<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cossa.org\/\">COSSA<\/a> is an advocacy organization supported by more than 100 professional associations, scientific societies, universities and research institutions. COSSA stands alone in representing the full range of social scientists.<\/p>\n<h3>National Humanities Alliance<\/h3>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/nhalliance.org\/\">National Humanities Alliance<\/a> (NHA) is a coalition of more than 80 associations concerned with national humanities policy. The NHA advocates for support for humanities research and represents its members in matters of policy or legislation affecting work in the humanities. The NHA is the only organization that represents the US humanities community as a whole.<\/p>\n<h3>National Institute of Social Sciences<\/h3>\n<p>The National Institute of Social Sciences (NISS) is a Congressionally chartered not-for-profit association of public-spirited citizens.
